Becoming the data science department of 400000 SMEs

For the past 35 years, thousands of Dutch SMEs have kept their books in Exact software. To help them make the most out of their data, two years ago Exact has taken up the challenge of revolutionizing its software, introducing Machine Learning to support full automation of data entry and Data Science to deliver key financial insights and advise to each and every one of its 350000 customers.

This talk reviews how AI and machine learning can be applied in business software to empower businesses to make truly data-driven decisions, also going through real world examples of how Exact delivers rich financial insights and automation at scale for hundreds of thousands of Small and Medium Enterprises.

Judith Redi Head of Data Science Exact

About Judith

Judith Redi is head of Data Science at Exact. With a PhD in Machine Learning and a decade of academic and business experience in the field of Artificial Intelligence, she is leading the efforts to develop the technology that will make Exact the Data Science Department of each and every one of its customers. Judith joined Exact in July 2017 as a senior data scientist. Prior to that, she was a tenured assistant professor at TU Delft, doing research at the intersection of computer vision, user modeling and affective computing, and teaching all subjects related to neural networks and computational intelligence.
